Frederick's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots 64-35. The victory continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won eight in a row.

Frederick's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miles Robinson, who threw for 188 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 88 yards and one score on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in passer rating (148.7). Another back making a difference was Philip Bailey, who rushed for 91 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Frederick was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Frederick didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ethan Morris, Cory Martin, and Ian Tumi picked up one apiece.

Frederick's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Governor Thomas Johnson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
