Basketball Recap: Tates Creek Find Success

While Tates Creek didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over the East Jessamine Jaguars on Saturday. Given the Commodores' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Jaguars are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tates Creek's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4. As for East Jessamine, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Tates Creek will face off against Bryan Station at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for East Jessamine, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-55 win against Lafayette on the 29th.
