Baseball Recap: Huron Tigers vs. Clyde Fliers
Huron extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 12-10 in the process. They came up short against the Clyde Fliers, falling 11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 last Tuesday.
As for Clyde, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-14. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games.
For Clyde's part, Jonathan Lantz was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. As for Clyde, they will be taking part in a tournament against Clear Fork at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
