Baseball Recap: Friday Harbor Takes a Loss

Friday Harbor suffered their closest loss since March 26th on Thursday. They fell just short of the Orcas Island Vikings by a score of 5-3. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Friday Harbor now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Orcas Island, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Friday Harbor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orcas Island, they will square off against Mount Vernon Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
