Basketball Game Preview: Christiansburg Blue Demons vs. Salem Spartans

Christiansburg hasn't had much luck against Salem recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Christiansburg Blue Demons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Salem Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Salem took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Christiansburg, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row, Christiansburg turned things around against Staunton River on Monday. They skirted past the Golden Eagles 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Demons have posted since February 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, Salem unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to Glenvar.

Christiansburg's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.

Things could have been worse for Christiansburg, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 74-55 loss to Salem when the teams last played last Saturday. Can Christiansburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
