Basketball Recap: Bentley Sedor Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat River View

After losing to River View the last time they met, Meadowbrook decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Meadowbrook Colts managed a 48-42 victory over the River View Black Bears on Friday.

Meadowbrook got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bentley Sedor out in front who went 6-for-8 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Sedor a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Michael Ray, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 14 boards.

River View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Parker Andrews, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 12 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Layton Massie was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Meadowbrook's victory bumped their record up to 4-18. As for River View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Meadowbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for River View, they will take on Tuscarawas Valley at 7:00 p.m. on February 22nd. River View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
