Baseball Recap: Leavitt Comes Up Short

Leavitt was the 5-1 winner over Erskine Academy when they last played one another back in May, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets came up short against the Eagles on Monday, falling 9-2. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leavitt's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Erskine Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-10-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leavitt will welcome Nokomis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Erskine Academy, they will take on Winslow at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Black Raiders at the right time seeing as the Black Raiders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
