Softball Recap: Oak Creek Find Success

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Oak Creek and Indian Trail, and Oak Creek kept the tradition alive. The Knights came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 8-4 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Hawks two weeks ago, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

The team relied heavily on Macy Blooming, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Mank, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Oak Creek's record now sits at 15-6. As for Indian Trail, they moved to 10-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Oak Creek is taking a road trip to face off against Racine Case at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Indian Trail, they will welcome Waterford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
