Baseball Game Preview: Paradise Honors Panthers vs. Grant Generals

The Paradise Honors Panthers will be taking part in a tournament against the Grant Generals at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Paradise Honors is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

If Paradise Honors beats Grant with five runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Paradise Honors never let Highland get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Monday.

Noah Rodriguez made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Rodriguez wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaydan Herrera, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Cook Cadyn also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, Grant came up short against Broomfield on Tuesday and fell 8-4. The loss put an end to the Generals' undefeated start to the season.

Paradise Honors pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Grant, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
