Edinburgh has gone a perfect 10-0 against Southwestern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 5:30 p.m. Edinburgh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

While Edinburgh's win against Trinity Lutheran wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cougars 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted since April 1st.

Kenna Streeval made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Streeval was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eloise Cox, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Adalynn Ramey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Southwestern played against Hauser on Thursday and lost via forfeit.

Edinburgh now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Southwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Edinburgh's way against Southwestern in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Edinburgh made off with a 7-0 victory. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
