Baseball Recap: Lancaster Finds Home Field Redemption Against Fairfield Central

There's no place like home for Lancaster, who bounced back after a loss on the road on February 10th. They were the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over the Fairfield Central Griffins on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bruins also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Darius Jackson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jackson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Derrion Shannon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Parker McGee was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Lancaster back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lancaster will head out to challenge Lewisville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fairfield Central will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Richland Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th.
