Softball Recap: California Lutheran Comes Up Short

California Lutheran and St. Genevieve squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but California Lutheran had to settle for second. They came up short against the Valiants, falling 20-10.

Emily French was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Sofiia Klochkova was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

California Lutheran now has a losing record of 8-9. As for St. Genevieve, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

As of now, neither California Lutheran nor St. Genevieve have any future games scheduled.
