Softball Recap: King Triumphs

King proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 13) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Greens Farms Academy Dragons 4-2.

Elizabeth Tuttle was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Tuttle wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emma Drexel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

King's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Greens Farms Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, King will host Cheshire Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greens Farms Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Luke's at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
