Softball Recap: Port Washington Pirates vs. Grafton Black Hawks

After losing to Grafton the last time they met, Port Washington decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pirates put the hurt on the Black Hawks with a sharp 12-4 victory on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pirates have posted against the Black Hawks since May 2, 2022.

Sierra Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Port Washington let Hope Gilhooly and Shelby Cash run wild.
