Basketball Recap: Elyria Catholic Comes Up Short

Elyria Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steele Comets. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Comets from their previous meeting back in January.

Elyria Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Steele, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Elyria Catholic Panthers face off against the Lake Catholic Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Steele, they will head out on the road to take on Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berea-Midpark has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
