Volleyball Game Preview: San Gabriel Academy Eagles vs. Fairmont Prep Huskies

The San Gabriel Academy Eagles will square off against the Fairmont Prep Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in San Gabriel Academy's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Fairmont Prep has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

San Gabriel Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pacifica Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. San Gabriel Academy was the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Pacifica Christian last Tuesday. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.

The victory didn't come easy: Pacifica Christian scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Fairmont Prep lost 3-0 to Godinez Fundamental on Thursday.

San Gabriel Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Fairmont Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

San Gabriel Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairmont Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will San Gabriel Academy repeat their success, or does Fairmont Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
