Volleyball Recap: Sunshine Bible Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sunshine Bible Academy had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Wakpala Sioux 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

While Sunshine Bible Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 25-22.

Ciera Mickelson paced Sunshine Bible Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Mickelson got some help from Kalyn Sarchet and her 12 assists. Mickelson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Sunshine Bible Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-20. As for Wakpala, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-21.

Looking ahead, Sunshine Bible Academy will take on Herreid/Selby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wakpala does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
