Soccer Recap: Roma Takes a Loss

Roma was the 2-0 winner over Martin when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Roma Gladiators fell just short of the Martin Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 570th, while the Tigers are ranked 239th).

Roma's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Martin, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Palmview the next time they take the pitch. Roma will head out to face Palmview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Martin will host them at 8:00 p.m. on February 11th.
