Basketball Recap: Seven Oaks Classical Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Seven Oaks Classical came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Dugger Union Bulldogs by a score of 61-49. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-34 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seven Oaks Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macy Bush, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Bush's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Easton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Seven Oaks Classical was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Dugger Union's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sage Stahl, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Stahl has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 13 times she's played. Jordyn Smith was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine steals.

Seven Oaks Classical pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Dugger Union, their record now sits at 5-9.

Seven Oaks Classical has already played their next contest (against Horizon Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dugger Union will head out to square off against White River Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
