Football Recap: Treasure Coast Takes a Loss

Treasure Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 57-7 loss at the hands of The First Academy Royals. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Royals are ranked ninth).

Landen Holley went supernova For The First Academy., throwing for 295 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground. Jaelyn Powell was another key player, rushing for 35 yards and a pair of scores.

Treasure Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for The First Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Treasure Coast has already played their next matchup, a 19-7 loss against Dunbar on the 12th. As for The First Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-8 win against Eau Gallie on the 12th.
