Tatum is 7-2 against Arp since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tatum Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Arp Tigers at 3:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Tatum didn't have quite enough to beat Arp and fell 7-6.

For Arp's part, Addison Carpenter made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Carpenter was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Maddie Birdsong and Aubry Way did most of the damage at the plate: Birdsong scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Way went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lacy Fletcher, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Arp's victory was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Tatum, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
