Softball Recap: Castle Comes Up Short

The Castle Knights lost 13-1 to the Daviess County Panthers on Friday.

Castle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Bruggenschmidt, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Castle has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Daviess County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle will face off against Hancock County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Daviess County, they will take on Jasper at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
