Volleyball Recap: Ashlyn Ramsey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Waldron over Rushville

Waldron lost against Rushville two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mohawks fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The Mohawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Waldron started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Waldron's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashlyn Ramsey, who had 18 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Maleah Williams, who had five digs, two aces, and one block.

Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Rushville, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

Waldron has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Madison on the 27th. Rushville has also already played their next match (against Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
