Volleyball Recap: Greeneview Comes Up Short

Greeneview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Xenia Buccaneers, falling 3-0. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Greeneview still got an impressive performance from Aubrey Atley, who had 19 digs and one assist. Atley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Jaycie Christian also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Greeneview's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Xenia, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Coming up, Greeneview will square off against Cedarville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Xenia, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Greenville on the 23rd.
