Softball Recap: Lynn Classical Triumphs

Lynn Classical proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 12) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 win over the Everett Crimson Tide. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Crimson Tide back in April, they had to take a 8-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Neveah Eth, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Corbett, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lynn Classical kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lynn Classical is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Everett, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynn Classical will venture away from home to take on Melrose at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. As for Everett, they will take on Medford at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
