Peoria extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost 18-0 to the Peoria Notre Dame Irish. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Irish from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Peoria Notre Dame, the win got them back to even at 9-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Peoria Notre Dame's part, Elizabeth Leustek looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Leustek has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lauren Leustek was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
