Okemos's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 33-23 win over the Waverly Warriors. The Wolves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Marshaun Hallums was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 111 yards and four TDs. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Okemos' victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Waverly, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Okemos will square off against Coldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waverly, they will take on Holt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
