Softball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Lawrence County's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Lawrence County got themselves on the board against Coffee County Central on Friday, but Coffee County Central never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Red Raiders.

Ava Templeton was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Tilleigh Allen was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Lawrence County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Coffee County Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-7.

The Red Devils didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 victory against the Wildcats on the 5th. As for Coffee County Central, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Huntsville on the 5th.
