Softball Game Preview: Flatonia Bulldogs vs. Ganado Indians

For the second straight game, Flatonia will face off against Ganado. The Bulldogs will host the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Flatonia heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They came up short against Ganado, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Indians' pitcher proved too tough.

Flatonia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalee Trussell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Trussell has snagged this season.

The victory (which was Ganado's 16th in a row) raised their record to 29-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Flatonia, they moved to 16-11-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
