Volleyball Game Preview: Deshler Dragons vs. Red Cloud Warriors

The Deshler Dragons will challenge the Red Cloud Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Deshler will be strutting in after a win while Red Cloud will be coming in after a loss.

Deshler's tournament run continued when they took on Harvard on Saturday. The Dragons walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Deshler was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-7.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Red Cloud's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Kenesaw by a score of 2-1.

Red Cloud started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Deshler's win ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-16. As for Red Cloud, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.

Deshler came up short against Red Cloud in their previous matchup back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
