Monument Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Monticello recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Monument Valley Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Monticello Buckaroo at 5:30 p.m. Monument Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Monument Valley duked it out with Pinnacle on Friday. Monument Valley breezed by Pinnacle to the tune of 72-33. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 27 points or more this season.

Monument Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dakotah Cly led the charge by putting up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kaylisa Tome, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Monticello fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Dolores on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 42-39. The Buckaroo's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Monument Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Monument Valley against Monticello in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 64-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monument Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
