Softball Game Preview: New Waverly Bulldogs vs. Onalaska Wildcats

For the second straight game, New Waverly will face off against Onalaska. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

New Waverly took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Onalaska with a sharp 16-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Kaelynn Stewart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

As for Onalaska, their defeat was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
