East Grand Rapids hadn't done well against Forest Hills Central recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Pioneers blew past the Rangers 34-6. Considering the Pioneers have won six matchups by more than 19  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.

Those  270  passing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Asa Cox was  McCune's top target, picking up 104 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs.
The  victory was  the fifth in a row for East Grand Rapids, bringing their record up to 7-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.2 points on average over those games. As for Forest Hills Central, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
