Soccer Game Preview: Satellite vs. Merritt Island

The Satellite Scorpions will challenge the Merritt Island Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Satellite is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Satellite is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Titusville with a sharp 3-0 win. Considering the Scorpions have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Merritt Island was able to grind out a solid victory over Rockledge on Friday, taking the game 3-1.

Kaci Underwood and Zoe Flakus scored all three of Merritt Island's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Satellite is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six games. As for Merritt Island, the win got them back to even at 5-5-3.
