Football Game Preview: Westville Tigers vs. DuQuoin Indians

The Westville Tigers will take on the DuQuoin Indians at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully DuQuoin likes a good challenge.

Westville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 49-6 victory over Shelbyville. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Rams are ranked 318th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, DuQuoin entered their tilt with Carlinville on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-21 win over the Cavaliers. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Indians had established a 21-point advantage.

Westville better keep an eye on Jeremiah Jones. He was instrumental in DuQuoin's win, rushing for 117 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 68 receiving yards. Those 68 receiving yards gave Jones a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Jones, who rushed for 73 yards and a pair of TDs.

Westville's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for DuQuoin, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
