Volleyball Recap: Sophia Sandone and Adelyn King Secure Win for Clay-Battelle

There's no place like home for Clay-Battelle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Valley Lumberjacks on Thursday. The Cee-Bees haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Clay-Battelle was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-19.

Leading Clay-Battelle to victory were Adelyn King and Sophia Sandone. King had eight digs and one assist, while Sandone had ten digs. That's the most digs King has posted over her last six contests. Bailey Willard also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Clay-Battelle's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Clay-Battelle and Valley will both be playing Madonna the next time they take the court. The Cee-Bees will head out to face the Blue Dons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lumberjacks will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
