Basketball Recap: South San Francisco Takes a Loss

South San Francisco played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Terra Nova Tigers 86-50. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Chase Russel was nothing short of spectacular for Terra Nova: he went 8 for 11 on his way to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Jesse Martinez, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and eight boards.

South San Francisco's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Terra Nova, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

South San Francisco didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 82-44 defeat against San Mateo on the 15th. Terra Nova has also already played their next contest, a 68-50 victory against Oceana on the 15th.
