Fayette Academy won against Middleton on Thursday with 22 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Everything went the Vikings' way against the First Assembly Christian Crusaders as they made off with a 22-1 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Leah Culver made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Hannah Fly was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Ladner, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Fayette Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
