Basketball Recap: Benton Harbor Tigers vs. Watervliet Panthers
Benton Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Watervliet Panthers, falling 55-33. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 53-19 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Watervliet to victory, but perhaps none more so than Moeko Crago, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Crago is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Daijahnae Hatcher was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 20 boards.
Benton Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Watervliet, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benton Harbor will face off against Buchanan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buchanan will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Benton Harbor surely won't give up without a fight.
