Volleyball Recap: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Rabun Gap-Nacoochee unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

While Rabun Gap-Nacoochee had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20.

Carson Hill paced Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's offense, picking up ten kills. Hill got some help from Riese Kirkland and her 33 assists. Finally, Hill was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Rabun Gap-Nacoochee nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
