Basketball Recap: North Park Find Success

If Soroco wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North Park, they should've done a better job of containing Gavin Pittington. The North Park Wildcats claimed a resounding 68-40 victory over the Soroco Rams thanks in part to Pittington, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double with 33 points and 12 rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of North Park's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 3-1 (and 8-9 when he doesn't).

Aiden Pittington was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (60%).

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Perez, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brayden Dudley, who posted 15 points and five boards.

North Park now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Soroco, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

North Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-38 loss against Plateau Valley on the 1st. As for Soroco, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-41 defeat against Hayden on the 28th.
