Soccer Recap: Portal Takes Down Brooks County in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Portal walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Brooks County Trojans on Tuesday. Given Portal's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Brooks County are ranked 353rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Colby Stewart and Maggie Brannen scored all three of Portal's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 55 goals.
