Soccer Game Preview: Palisades vs. Fairfax

The Palisades Dolphins are taking a road trip to take on the Fairfax Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Palisades is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering South Gate just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Monday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Dolphins happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 13, 2024.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Fairfax faced off against University on Friday. Fairfax played to a draw too, finishing 0-0 against University. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Lions have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Fairfax's draw gives them a new season record of 10-3-3. As for Palisades, they moved theirs to 11-2-1.

Palisades came up short against Fairfax in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Palisades avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
