Payton College Prep lost against St. Patrick back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Grizzlies fell 2-0 to the Shamrocks. The Grizzlies' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13.

Jason Beerkens paced Payton College Prep's offense, picking up six kills. Beerkens got some help from Alexander Dragoshanskiy and his 12 assists.

St. Patrick was led to victory by Eric Resendez and Tyler Groh. Resendez had 14 assists and eight digs, while Groh had nine digs and four assists. That's the most assists Groh has posted over his last 12 games.

Payton College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for St. Patrick, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
