Basketball Recap: Matawan Regional Takes a Loss

Matawan Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 58-48 to the Middletown North Lions. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 61-46.

Matawan Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Middletown North, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Matawan Regional will venture away from home to face off against Keansburg at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Matawan Regional is facing Keansburg at the right time seeing as Keansburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Middletown North, they will square off against Henry Hudson at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Henry Hudson will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Middletown North surely won't give up without a fight.
