Baseball Game Preview: Escambia County Blue Devils vs. Jackson Aggies

Escambia County hasn't had much luck against Jackson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Escambia County Blue Devils will head out to face off against the Jackson Aggies at 5:00 p.m. Escambia County has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Escambia County is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 19-1 to Jackson.

Escambia County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamarion Robinson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. Jovon Brown also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Jackson and bumps their season record up to 5-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Escambia County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
