Football Game Preview: Bonita Springs Bullsharks vs. Gateway Eagles

The Bonita Springs Bullsharks will square off against the Gateway Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bonita Springs' offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Aubrey Rogers on Friday. They were dealt a 62-0 defeat at the hands of the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Gateway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Palmetto 70-6. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Tigers are ranked 99th).

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bonita Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Bonita Springs couldn't quite finish off Gateway when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 26-23. Thankfully for the Bullsharks, Justin Jean Louis (who rushed for 203 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
