Softball Recap: Franklin Road Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Father Ryan last Monday, Franklin Road Academy came back down to earth. Franklin Road Academy came up short against the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats on Thursday, falling 13-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Franklin Road Academy's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Battle Ground Academy, their record now sits at 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin Road Academy Panthers take on Providence Christian Academy LIONS at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Battle Ground Academy, they will host Brentwood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Brentwood's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Battle Ground Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
