The Grundy County Yellowjackets will take on the South Pittsburg Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Pittsburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Grundy County, who comes in off a win.

Grundy County took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Cascade, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellowjackets skirted past the Champions 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since March 29th.

Meanwhile, South Pittsburg fell victim to Silverdale Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Seahawks, falling 18-0. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Seahawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Grundy County's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for South Pittsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
