Soccer Recap: Vandalia Christian Comes Up Short

Vandalia Christian lost against Alamance Christian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings came up short against the Warriors, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Vandalia Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 521st, while Alamance Christian are ranked 66th).

Vandalia Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-1 record this season. As for Alamance Christian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia Christian will challenge Liberty Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vandalia Christian will be up against Liberty Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.88 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alamance Christian, they will square off against Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
